New Outdoor Lessons FAQ
We’re now running classes across five skateparks: Somerset, Kallang, Bishan, East Coast Xtreme, and Jurong Lake Gardens!

Our lease at GR.iD is ending on 14 July. Instead of 1 location, classes will be running across five skateparks across Singapore: Somerset, Kallang, Bishan, East Coast Xtreme, and Jurong Lake Gardens.

Nope! You’ll still be coached by our certified, passionate PVS coaches, using the same trusted methods — just with more sun and fresh air.
Outdoor skating is a fun new adventure! Our coaches will guide you through the new terrain and help you build confidence at your own pace.
Lessons at Kallang Skatepark will go ahead as they take place in a sheltered area. The other skateparks are fully outdoors, so in the event of bad weather, we may have to cancel. We’ll post updates on our social media (Instagram: @porvidaskateboarding, Facebook: porvidaskateboarding) via Stories at least one hour before the class starts. If a session is cancelled, your class credit will be automatically returned to your account.
General
Only skateboard are available for rental at $10 per lesson.
Due to hygiene reasons, protective gears and helmets are not available for rent.
Yes, we will continue our private lessons at Somerset, Kallang and East Coast Park subject to coaches’ availability. Please find more information on our booking page.
Trial Lessons
Minimum 2 students to start a class, grouped by adult or kids. If you are coming for the trial class alone, you may be grouped with another student of your age group.
Yes it is highly recommended. Through the trial lesson, our coaches would be able to more accurately understand your skate level and better recommend which module you are suitable for.
Private 1 On 1
We take up to 4 students. You may form your own group of 4.
First-timers
We welcome kids as young as five years old.
You’ll need your own skateboard, helmet and protective gear, a towel and water to keep yourself hydrated.
*If you do not have a skateboard, you may rent a skateboard for the Trial Lesson (only) at $10 per board for first timers only. Kindly include this request into ‘Notes’ section when you confirm your lessons. *Subject to availability*
We have lessons conducted indoors & outdoors at skateparks, so pick something comfortable, breathable and can provide a wide range of motion. We strongly encourage you to come in long pants – to prevent abrasions when you fall – and soft-soled shoes. Sports shoes are highly discouraged as the soles are thick and uneven.

For One-on-One private classes, it is available at PVS Indoor Skatepark, Somerset Skatepark, Kallang Skatepark and East Coast Park.
Yes, you may. Simply search for preferred instructor’s lessons under One-on-One or drop us a WhatsApp message if you need further assistance.
Our friendly instructors will equip you with the basics that includes helping you find your stance (goofy or regular) and guiding you to balance and maneuver with confidence. After about 4 lessons, you can also expect to learn basic tricks!
On average, you should be able to skate confidently after 4 to 6 lessons.

Rain Policy
Our instructors will preempt you about the possible bad weather 1 hour before your lesson. You can make the decision to cancel and get the credit refunded. Should you choose to proceed with the lesson and it happens to rain, full credit will be charged.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend the lesson you booked, you can modify your booking by logging in to your account 12 hours prior to the start of your lesson time to reschedule to the next available date.
For no-shows/late cancellations, the lesson credit will be deducted from your account.
